Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to sign-in, dramatically reducing the risk of unauthorized access even if your password is compromised.
Enabling 2FA
- Open Settings → Security.
- Choose Enable two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code.
Backup codes
When you enable 2FA you receive one-time backup codes. Store them somewhere safe — they let you sign in if you lose access to your authenticator device.
